Geographical location
Hangzhou, the city we located, is the capital of Zhejiang Province, serving as the provincial center in politics, economy, culture, science and education. It is also an important international tourist city with its beautiful scenery. It is an important central city in the Yangtze River Delta and a hub of transportation in southeast China.

Economy
Knows as "the Silicon Valley in Paradise", Hangzhou is witnessing rapid development in information technology and software industry. By the end of 2005, Hangzhou had set up 6 state-level enterprise technology centers and 233 provincial-level or municipal-level centers. The development of technology market maintained good momentum. In 2005, the output value of the new and high technology industry totaled 80.047 billion yuan. The investors were from 76 countries and regions all over the world. 42 out of the Top 500 world enterprises had settled down in Hangzhou.

Software Industry
In 2005, the software enterprises in Zhejiang province totaled over 1000, and the related work force exceeds 40,000 people. The software industry sales income of Zhejiang Province in 2005 reached 25.1 billion, a 24.5% increase over that of the same period last year. Batches of specially featured advantageous software products have been cultivated, and the province has owned over 2000 software products registered with their independent intellectual property rights, with an increase rate of over 500 items each year. Zhejiang's applying software has formed its characteristics and advantageous position, especially in such applying fields as finance & securities, safety, textile dying and garment CAD, medical health, and industrial control, with its market occupant rate taking the lead domestically. The internationalization of the industry has obviously quickened its pace, and in 2005 the exported software products value exceeded 310 million US dollars, a 134.6% increase over that of the same period last year.
